The Friends of the Swannanoa Library seeks to supplement programming offered by the library system itself. Over the past few years the Friends group has sponsored many special programs including: Harriot Styles "History of the Swannanoa Valley", Dan Slagle's "The Civil War in the Swannanoa Valley", a program on African drumming, magic shows, poetry events, live music, and much more! Watch this site for a list of upcoming Swannanoa Library events and check out the site for the Asheville-Buncombe Library System
The Friends of the Swannanoa Library presents an annual summer concert series. The series is free and open to the public, and takes place in Grovemont Park.
